Field Day

Field Day will be on our CES campus again this year.  If you want to attend, you must volunteer to work a station and complete a criminal background check at least two days prior to the event.  No one will be allowed to attend without a criminal background check on file.  All K-2 volunteers will have three or four fifteen minute breaks throughout their schedule to watch their child’s class.  Remember, only CES students and parental volunteers are allowed to be at Field Day, so siblings not enrolled in CES may not attend.

If you are interested in assisting with a station, please complete the form below and circle the day/time you are willing to help.  You will receive a folder with information about your station on Friday, May 25th.  Stations will be set up and ready when you arrive to work.

If you are unable to work, you can still help!  Snacks and drinks are also needed to make Field Day a success.  You may start sending the items (individually wrapped, no glass) on Monday, May 21st, so they will be fresh for your child’s Field Day.  Please put your child’s grade level on the item(s) you send so they will be reserved for the correct Field Day.

Thanks for your support and help!

Dallas World Aquarium

We finished off our rain forest unit with a trip to the Dallas World Aquarium.  We would like to say a big “Thank You” to the Commerce Educational Enrichment Foundation who funded the grant for 2nd grade to be able to enjoy this AWESOME trip!!!

Ms. Gardner

Welcome to the Jungle!!!

We have been learning all about the rain forest and ocean.  Each student was able to choose one animal from either the rain forest or the ocean to do their research project on.  They were then able to share all of the great information they learned about their animal with the class.
